Aspen Medical Contracted by Australian Federal Police in support of Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI)

Aspen Medical today signed a contract with the Australian Federal Police to continue to provide medical services in the Solomon Islands in support of the Regional Assistance Mission Solomon Islands (RAMSI).

Aspen Medical’s Managing Director Glenn Keys said “Aspen Medical has been in the Solomon Islands since 2004 providing assistance to the Australian Federal Police and their supporting agencies. Aspen Medical has been delivering first world health support in a challenging environment and at the same time supporting the local community.”

The contract, for an initial period of three years plus options, consolidates a busy year for the company. In March this year Aspen Medical commenced operations of a dedicated Aeromedical Evacuation Service for the oil and gas industry based in Karratha, Western Australia . The jet and medical crew are on call 24 hours a day and in the short time the service has been operating has been activated on 12 occasions. Closer to home Aspen Medical provided paramedics to the Union Cyclist Internationale (UCI) Mountain Bike Challenge and World Transplant Games.

Mr. Keys concluded by saying “This contract extension is recognition of Aspen Medical's continued commitment to providing the best in health care to its clients and their staff. We see this as recognition of the high quality service our staff have provided and look forward to continuing our relationship with one of our most important clients.”
