Aspen Medical completes ACT Health Elective Surgery Waiting List Reduction Program
Aspen Medical has successfully completed the first of a series of ACT Health work orders for the facilitation of Elective General Surgeries. Aspen Medical has used its project management expertise to efficiently manage Elective Surgery Patients requiring critical treatment.
ACT Health engaged Aspen Medical, as part of a panel of healthcare providers, to contribute to an overall improvement of Elective Surgery waiting times for long wait patients across the Territory. This activity is a component of the innovative ACT Health General Surgery Waitlist Reduction Program currently being undertaken in Canberra.
This series of work orders forms an important part of the larger Program that would see Aspen Medical assist ACT Health to clear more Elective Surgery waiting lists for various clinical populations in the coming months.
Aspen Medical has a successful history in assisting Government Health Agencies to reduce patient populations on wait lists. In the United Kingdom, Aspen Medical assisted the National Health Service (NHS) to clear thousands of Orthopaedic surgical cases, an eight year wait in urology surgical cases and a two year waiting list in ophthalmic Patient Surgical appointments as part of the provision of Surgical services in England and Northern Ireland.
In Australia, Aspen Medical continues to be heavily involved in the reduction of Dental Wait Lists across New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
